The breakfast was savoury and very very good with very good cooked food, large portions and also omelettes and had something for everyone. The hotel had hard-working staff members. The location was absolutely perfect and exceptionally nice, within a close distance from Jacksonville Beach Pier.

Thoroughly enjoyed the double room with large comfy bed, felt like we were home. Its location was excellent and absolutely perfect, in the pub in the evening.
Didn't like the staff, some of them were busy.

I really enjoyed the charming atmosphere and the early breakfast that was delicious, allowing me to fuel up before I set off on my walks to nearby landmarks like Mam Tor and the Castle, both just a short stroll away, making it the perfect place for someone who loves exploring on foot.

The breakfast was amazing, especially the mushrooms and poached eggs on wholemeal. The room was quaint yet modern, with beautiful rickety floors and a cute low window that had a fine view of the hills. The small private balcony upstairs would have been perfect for a romantic moment.
strongly recommend

Best staff ever!
We spent 2 nights here, and honestly. They were so friendly and helpful, going above and beyond when our car broke down. The place had a cozy vibe and was really clean too. The bar area was cool for chilling out after a busy day, but the Wi-Fi could be better.

I loved the charming atmosphere of the George Inn. The staff were great throughout my stay. The food exceeded my expectations. Both breakfast and dinner offered a great variety and excellent quality. My room was spacious with a large, comfortable bed and a mini fridge, a nice touch. I enjoyed the peaceful outdoor seating area. The room did get quite warm at night was good. Early morning noise from bin collections was a minor disruption. Despite these issues, I would happily stay here again.

We had a lovely time enjoying the cozy pub atmosphere and a great chat with the friendly staff. The sun terrace was perfect for relaxing after a long day, and the comfortable double room had all we needed. The only slight downside was the room got a bit warm, so a fan would’ve been nice, but it didn’t ruin our stay. 😊

A Hidden Gem for Couples Getaway!
The local pub served extraordinary food, and the staff were cute. A small downside was the generator noise outside, but our overall experience was still good. Make sure to try the homemade desserts!

I visited recently and found the food to be of good quality and satisfying. The staff were approachable as well. The peaceful outdoor seating area was perfect.
The room was quite warm at night, which affected my sleep. There was also some noise from bin collections early in the morning, a bit disruptive.

Being both cute and fun, exemplified by one team member who went out of their way to drive us to the station. The room was spacious, equipped with a mini fridge that included water and wine, and I enjoyed a superb dinner and breakfast with homemade jams. The limited drink options in the bar could be improved, and noise from outside was sometimes disruptive, affecting the tranquility of the stay.
